Why do I need HackerGuardian TrustLogo?
I've got a high assurance SSL certificate
SSL certificates do not secure a web server from malicious attacks or intrusions. High assurance SSL certificates such as InstantSSL provide the first tier of customer security and reassurance, namely:

• A secure connection between the customer's browser and the web server
• Validation that the web site operators are a legitimate, legally accountable organization

However, consumer fears in the light of recent attacks on high profile merchant web sites now mean that businesses need to provide additional proof that their web servers are cannot be hacked into. Vendors that deliver this second tier of reassurance to their customers have noticed a quantifiable increase in sales through higher customer conversion rates.

Why do I need a Security Audit?
Simply connecting to the Internet inherently exposes your computer to security threats. Everyday programs such as email, P2P file sharing, Instant Messengers and general operating systems flaws can be exploited by hackers - leaving you prey to Trojan horse programs, scripts, viruses and spy ware to name but a few. What are Content Verification Certificates?
A Content Verification Certificate is an internationally recognized X509 compliant certificate type that holds web page contents. Digitally bound within the certificate those contents can then be displayed by a compatible Internet Browser enabled with the VerificationEngine plug-in. The VerificationEngine plug-in checks web pages and loads the contents of certificates into the browser window. As long as the Domain is correct and the CVC is valid the contents are displayed. The user may then verify the content by performing a content verification process. Web sites cannot spoof a HackerGuardian TrustLogo by copying the graphic and adding a little javascript.

Why should a customer trust a CVC?
Before issuing a CVC to any organization or individual Comodo performs a high assurance validation process, verifying the identity of the applicant, the ownership of the domain and the legitimacy of the content to be stored in the CVC - in this case, the HackerGuardian logo graphic.

Is Hacker Guardian Free Service really 'free'?
Yes. After creating your account you will get a free license that enables a user to scan a single IP (eg web server, network server, desktop computer or other Internet connected device)
